Biotechnology, Energy, Construction and Business Administration: These are the thematic priorities of the University of Biberach in study, training and research. As a University of Applied Sciences, the HBC offers a variety of state-of-the-art Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, complemented by forward-looking research and transfer projects. HBC sees itself as a “civic university” and as a platform for reflection. The HBC finds important partners for this exchange in business, politics, civil society and other scientific institutions.

Practical and project-oriented courses of study

The courses offered by the HBC are practical and project-oriented: excursions on site, concrete references to current questions supplement the theory. There are attractive labs available for study purposes, for example for modern methods such as Building Information Modeling or Design Thinking.

Dovetailing of education and study

Various study models enable the integration of manual training and academic studies. The Bachelor International study model is unique throughout Germany, enabling students to spend a year abroad. For the Master programs Pharmaceutical and Industrial Biotechnology HBC cooperates with the University of Ulm – up to the doctorate (Cooperative Doctoral College Pharmaceutical Biotechnology).

Individual further education

After studying is before learning: With a specialized continuing education program that takes into account individual CVs, the HBC remains a lifelong partner with diverse offers in a balanced alternation of attendance phases and webinars.

Biberach – between Stuttgart and Lake Constance

Located between Stuttgart and Lake Constance, the Biberach location offers an attractive environment. The approximately 2,500 students appreciate the familial atmosphere, teachers and students are in direct contact with each other. In the current CHE university ranking, the HBC received the grade 1.1.
